An experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Emergency Room care is needed for a contract position in Olympia Fields, IL. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Valid RN license with 2-3 years of ER nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Proven ability in nursing assessment, prioritization, and quick decision-making
• Familiarity with ESI triage guidelines preferred
• Skills working with diverse patient populations including acute, chronic, pediatric, geriatric, behavioral health, OB, and trauma cases
• Technical proficiency with ER equipment such as infusion pumps, monitors, rapid infusers, and more
• Calm, empathetic, team-oriented personality aligned with compassionate care principles
Responsibilities:
• Provide effective triage and emergency nursing care following established hospital protocols
• Utilize critical thinking to assess, prioritize, and manage patient conditions in a timely manner
• Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Apply clinical knowledge to operate emergency department equipment safely
• Adhere to hospital dress code and maintain professional appearance
