
Registered Nurse ER | Pahoa, Hawaii in Ainaloa, HI
Job Description
Schedule & Hours
• 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour day shifts (36 hours weekly)
• No guaranteed hours
Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a busy 28-bed emergency department, including 4 trauma bays and behavioral health rooms
• Provide timely assessment, interventions, and patient monitoring, especially for cardiac patients
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team in a fast patient turnover setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with departmental protocols
Qualifications & Desired Experience
• Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii (must be obtained prior to assignment start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
• Preferred certifications include Procedural Sedation, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Management of Pediatric Care (EMPC)
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Additional Important Details
Candidates must arrive the Thursday before assignment start to attend a mandatory employee health appointment on Friday. Punctuality is essential to meet orientation requirements.
