This role focuses on coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to diverse age groups, while maintaining the units standards for safety and efficiency. The position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic clinical environment, with responsibilities that extend to flexible patient care assignments and supporting ancillary staff as needed. Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in emergency settings, respecting patient rights and developmental needs • Collaborate effectively with physicians, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear communication • Adapt to varying clinical situations including emergencies and fluctuating patient census by floating to other roles as necessary • Maintain compliance with health and safety protocols including bloodborne pathogen precautions • Undertake physical tasks required for patient positioning, transfer, and emergency interventions during shifts Required Qualifications & Certifications: • Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program • Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by AHA • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification by AHA • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) by AHA or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent certification preferred Work Schedule: • Night shift: 7PM 7AM • Rotating weekends, typically up to 2 per 4-week schedule • Floating and occasional sitter or CNA assistance duties as census requires • On-call status possible during low census periods Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Santa Fe boasts a rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts scene.
