Registered Nurse ER | Sparta, Georgia in Sparta, GA

Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced 22-bed Emergency Department averaging 85 patients daily. This contract role requires a minimum of 2 years of ED RN experience and offers the opportunity to utilize advanced skills in managing a wide variety of acute patient diagnoses, including chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, and mental health crises. Location: Sparta, GA—a welcoming community offering a balance of small-town charm and access to natural outdoor activities. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency patients with common diagnoses such as chest pain, strokes, and trauma cases. • Manage complex IV drips, including Heparin, Insulin, Dopamine, Epinephrine, and more. • Perform essential procedures such as phlebotomy and IV insertion; work collaboratively with unit secretaries and charge nurses. • Monitor patient telemetry and vital signs using advanced equipment including Phillips monitors, VS3 vital sign monitors, and portable oxygen systems. • Utilize EPIC EMR and ensure accurate documentation. • Adhere to scheduling requirements including weekend rotations and holiday shifts with 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. • Participate in orientation programs including departmental training and educational modules. Qualifications and Experience: • Active Georgia RN license. • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred. • Required certifications: BLS, Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR), ACLS. • Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC, and emergency nursing national certification. • Familiarity with drip management and telemetry monitoring. • Ability to work a scheduled weekend and holiday rotation.
