Key qualifications and desired experience include: • Current Pennsylvania RN licensure is required. • Proficiency in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), maintained with renewals every two years. • Valid National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. • Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills ensuring professional interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. • Ability to function effectively as a team member and liaison between patients and staff. • Demonstrated emotional resilience and sound judgment while managing ill patients in an emergency setting. • Preference given to candidates with EPIC Computer Charting experience. Responsibilities include: • Conducting thorough triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on physical and psychosocial needs, including continuous patient and waiting room rounding. • Developing and implementing individualized plans of care that are regularly updated and incorporate discharge planning. • Ensuring availability and functionality of necessary supplies and equipment. • Managing emergent situations according to policies and ENA standards, promptly recognizing changes in patient status. • Providing health education to patients and families, facilitating informed treatment decisions and clear discharge instructions. • Participating in scheduled on-call assignments in response to patient volume fluctuations related to community events.
