An experienced Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise is sought for a contract position in Stoughton, WI. This role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment, supporting patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes. The position involves night shifts with potential to work at a second Emergency Department location nearby. Key Responsibilities : • Apply the nursing process and collaboratively work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, and state regulations. • Accurately document care activities in compliance with standards. • Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education. • Engage in departmental performance improvement initiatives and shared governance. • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal care. • Employ critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns as needed. • Participate in nursing professional development, peer reviews, and unit practice decision-making. Qualifications and Desired Experience : • Active Wisconsin RN licensure. • Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. • Completion of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nursing Specialist (TNS). • Proven experience in emergency nursing practice. • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
