This opportunity seeks a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role requires flexibility to float to various units and hospitals, supporting critical and non-critical care needs. Candidates will work full-time hours, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week, including holiday rotations every other holiday. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive emergency medical services to patients of all ages in a busy Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center. The emergency department handles over 60,000 patients annually, providing critical, trauma, and routine emergency care. Nurses work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff, maintaining patient safety and effective treatment through appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 for critical cases to 1:3 or 1:4 for others. Desired Qualifications and Experience: • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required • Registered Nurse licensure in Alabama or Compact License (temporary licenses not accepted) • Minimum of 18 months experience preferred, with at least 1 year in emergency nursing specialty • Certifications required: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, TNCC, and SECURE on-site certification • Must be listed on NURSYS • Strong ability to handle high-pressure situations and excellent critical thinking skills Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama offers a vibrant community with a blend of cultural amenities and outdoor activities.
