Registered Nurse ER | Volcano, Hawaii in Volcano, HI

Provide emergency nursing care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a 28-bed emergency department. This role requires adept clinical skills and the ability to quickly assess and manage a diverse patient population, including trauma and behavioral health cases. The position is based on a contract with a 15-week assignment, requiring certification and licensure specific to Hawaii. Schedule/Hours: • Days • 3 shifts per week • 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) • No guaranteed hours Responsibilities: • Provide emergency nursing care in a high-volume, 28-bed ER department encompassing four trauma bays, two behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms • Quickly triage patients and deliver timely interventions to ensure positive outcomes • Collaborate in a team-oriented environment characterized by fast patient turnover • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills for emergency procedures and protocols • Attend an employee health appointment the Thursday before the start date • Arrive prepared with an active Hawaii RN license before starting the assignment Qualifications/Desired Experience: • Current RN licensure in the State of Hawaii (mandatory before assignment start) • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required • Preferred certifications: Procedural Sedation, Trauma Manager Critical Care (TMCC), and Emergency Medical Provider Certification (EMPC) • Experience working in emergency nursing with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-driven setting This contract opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding experience in emergency nursing within a stunning natural environment.
