Job Description
Summary:
The skilled Registered Nurse in the Emergency and related clinical settings provides independent care while demonstrating situational awareness. Responsible for routine and complex care aligned with patient treatment plans. Continually develops capabilities to manage clinical contingencies and effectively delegates responsibilities to other care providers to enhance clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:

• Exhibits flexibility regarding assignments within the healthcare ministry.
• Regularly updates availability for shifts and assignments.
• May rotate across multiple units as needed.
• Provides nursing care based on the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Addresses the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, tailored to their care level.
• Navigates medication administration protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Educates patients and families about their care and identifies available resources.

Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience
• At least 2 years of combined experience in an Emergency Department and one additional specialty (e.g., Medsurg, Telemetry, IMC, or Critical Care) required.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• TNCC certification required.
• PALS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• De-escalation Training required within 30 days of hire.
• Active RN License in state of employment or compact required.
