Registered Nurse Float Pool - Per Diem in Boston, MA

Position: Registered Nurse Float Pool Department: MS Float Pool Schedule: Part Time, Per Diem Position Summary The Med/Surge Float RNs provide 24/7 clinical excellence for med/surge areas. Float pool nurses care for medical and surgical adult populations. Working in the float pool hones your med-surge skills and provides a clinical overview that is unparalleled in any other med/surge area. Job Responsibilities • Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients • Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues • Update and manage patient records • Enter and interpret computerized data/information • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects Job Requirements • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. • 1+ years of RN experience preferred • Certification in basic life support (BLS) • Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) completed during orientation. • PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire which is offered by the hospital. • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years • Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities • Basic computer proficiency • Fluency in another language a plus Compensation Range $39.02- $90.05 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
