Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.9 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: 12 Hour Nights (United States of America) Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of individual patient needs. • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with patients/families and the healthcare team. • Perform assessments according to unit standards and document appropriately. • Initiate and utilize protocols and standards of care, documenting actions taken. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to policy documentation requirements. • Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout their care journey. • Evaluate patient progress towards outcomes and document accordingly. • Manage emergency situations competently. • Delegate tasks to healthcare team members based on their validated competencies. • Oversee the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. • Provide leadership through effective communication and validation of patient care. • Assist with various procedures and treatments or assign tasks to other healthcare team members as appropriate. • Complete competency testing and education specific to patient population/procedures according to unit requirements. Qualifications: Education: • Minimum ADN preparation is essential. Experience: • At least two years of nursing experience required. Licensure: • Active State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required. Additional Requirements: • For Emergency Departments: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory. • Degree must be from an accredited academic nursing program. • Specialty Certifications in the area of practice are preferred.
