We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with exceptional intravenous (IV) insertion skills to join our close-knit clinical team. This role is ideal for a confident, detail-oriented nurse who values personalized patient care and thrives in a calm, professional outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform expert-level IV insertions efficiently and comfortably, including on patients with difficult access
• Administer IV fluids, medications, and therapies per provider orders
• Monitor patients during and after treatments, ensuring safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and clinical assessments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment
• Clinical administrative duties such as referrals, authorization and patient triage
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the state of South Carolina licensing board
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (outpatient, infusion, ER, ICU, or similar preferred)
• Proven experience in IV infusion therapy with proficiency in venipuncture and catheter care (strongly required)
• Experience administering injections, managing IV insertion sites, and providing medication administration
• Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to recognize adverse reactions promptly
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile processing procedures
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatric, geriatric, and neurodivergent population
• Experience with EMR systems
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a small-practice setting
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety practices
Physical Requirements
• Required to sit, walk, bend, climb stairs, reach with hands and arms throughout workday.
• Depth perception, finger dexterity, and steady hand coordination required for fine tasks such as administering intramuscular injections, drawing blood, and insertions of IV”s
• Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds).
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus.
• Must be able to clearly communicate, assess, and educate patients
