Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in our Renal Med Surg department, you will care for patients with varying stages of Renal Disease, including Chronic Kidney Disease, Acute Renal Failure, and End Stage Renal Disease. You will receive specialized training in Peritoneal Dialysis and work closely with Nephrologists to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Beds: 18
• Patient Population: Patients with advanced renal disease.
• Scheduling: Modified self-scheduling with three weekend shifts required within a six-week period.
In your role, you will provide compassionate, comprehensive care while adhering to established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. You will serve as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring a positive patient experience aligned with our mission and values.
Qualifications:
• Required Experience: Minimum of one year as a Registered Nurse.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in hospital nursing.
• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing; candidates must enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and complete it within five years of hire. Experienced RNs with ten or more years may qualify for exemptions.
• Preferred Education: Master's degree in Nursing.
• Required License: Current RN licensure in North Carolina; eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply.
• Required Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Preferred Certification: National certification in your specialty area.
