Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Night Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate depends upon experience. $32.00 - $46.50 Position Highlights Join us on the Night Shift, 7pm - 7:30am; 72hrs/2wks. This role may qualify for a Sign On Bonus of up to $20,000! A Brief Overview As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver exceptional nursing care by developing personalized care plans, providing crucial emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, and closely monitoring evolving patient needs. What You Will Do • Provide comprehensive patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating care plans, and coordinating with the healthcare team. • Develop nursing care plans through patient assessments, gathering medical histories, and defining nursing diagnoses and interventions. • Educate patients and families on healthcare practices, medication management, and self-care strategies, ensuring they understand their conditions. • Evaluate and adapt patient care based on health outcomes and evolving needs, ensuring the highest standard of therapeutic care. • Maintain a safe and healthy environment by following infection control protocols and safety regulations. • Document all patient care activities accurately in patient and department records. • Ensure optimal functioning of patient care equipment and maintain necessary supplies. • Continue to develop nursing skills and knowledge as required by leadership. Essential Qualifications To thrive in this role, candidates must possess visual acuity, effective communication skills, and the ability to distinguish sounds essential for patient care. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Registered Nurse (RN) - Active license required in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical environment.
