You will collaborate closely with residents, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care that meets each individual’s needs. Your scope of practice includes taking care of residents across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. As a charge nurse, you will delegate tasks effectively to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel while ensuring safe and reliable care. You will work within the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in your state, maintaining high standards of nursing ethics and practice. Qualifications Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Previous experience as a RN (or LPN) in a clinical setting across various life stages is required, with a minimum of 400 hours of clinical experience needed. You must hold a current Registered Nurse license in your state and ensure compliance with state regulations regarding practice. Additional certifications may be required depending on the specialty or service area.
