Registered Nurse - General Surgery - On-Demand in Clarence, LA

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our General Surgery team on an on-demand basis. As a competent nurse with experience in a clinical setting, you will work independently while maintaining a strong awareness of various aspects of patient care. You will provide both routine and complex nursing care, set long-term goals, and enhance your ability to manage the evolving needs of patients. This role involves delegating tasks and collaborating with other care providers to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate proficiency in OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in line with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, adapting to the needs of your practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor and evaluate for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately.
• Assess patient and family education needs and deliver relevant resources and information.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience:
• At least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification is required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact is required.

On-demand availability.
