A4 is a 31-bed pre and post-op inpatient surgical unit dedicated to excellence in patient care. JOB SUMMARY

As a Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate clinical competence by employing the nursing process while developing a collaborative nurse-patient relationship. You will assess and identify patient needs, establish a plan of care, and implement and evaluate the nursing care provided.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred
• One (1) year RN experience or successful completion of the Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program
• Current unrestricted RN license in good standing in Connecticut
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Possess basic nursing principles and practices knowledge. Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions. Effective communication skills to relay complex information clearly. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders including departments, physicians, and patients. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a dynamic environment. A commitment to outstanding customer service and maintaining confidentiality.
