Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for helping others in a time of need? If so, we are looking for you to join our dedicated and compassionate team! As a Registered Nurse you will provide professional nursing care while assessing the needs of patients and developing individualized plans that meet the needs of the ones we serve. You will also participate and assist in implementing the care and treatment that has been determined by nursing staff and supervisors within the hospital.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform ongoing assessments of each patient’s biopsychosocial needs
• Develop initial nursing plan of care
• Perform charge nurse duties
• Apply interventions identified in the treatment plan and document all nursing care
• Facilitate and co-facilitate group programming
• Interact respectfully with all patients while maintaining professional boundaries
• Provide input on patients’ progress and recommend any changes to the treatment plan
• Participate in discharge planning with the patient and other team members
Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.
• This is a hospital support (clinic) position. The employee will perform ECT duties, venipuncture for labs, support clinical needs, and schedule medical appointments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Possess or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota. Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN.
• Competency in preforming blood draws, and providing assessments for post recovery for ECT
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a mental health setting
