Registered Nurse I - Acute MedSurgical - PRN in Oakdale, LA

Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse I to join our Acute MedSurgical team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exemplary patient care by performing comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and implementing effective nursing interventions for a diverse patient population, including older adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatric patients. Key Responsibilities: • Competency Excellence: Uphold the OneCHRISTUS competencies as a leader in nursing. • Patient Care Planning: Create and maintain detailed nursing care plans that address identified patient needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. • Patient Care Implementation: Deliver high-quality, safe, and therapeutic care while prioritizing patient needs and acuity. • Patient Evaluation: Regularly assess patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as necessary to meet goals. • Education: Identify educational needs for patients and families, adapting teaching materials to enhance understanding. • Effective Communication: Accurately report patient conditions and maintain confidentiality while fostering open communication within the care team. • Team Support: Act as a role model for peers and students, provide feedback, and assist in the orientation of new staff members. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. • Experience: A minimum of six months to one year of nursing experience required. • Licenses and Certifications: Current RN License in state of employment or compact, BLS certification, and a Graduate Nurse Permit if applicable. Work Schedule: 7AM - 7PM Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
