Registered Nurse - ICU Cardiovascular - On-Demand in Dixie Inn, LA

Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibit competency as a Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders aligned with OneCHRISTUS standards.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care through the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and provided care thoroughly.
• Identify learning needs and provide effective education to patients, family members, and care providers.

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Licenses and Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice or compact; BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Position Requirements:
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires will be precepted by trained staff and will complete specific onboarding competencies.
• Adhere to all annual competency verification requirements.

Credential Grace Periods:
There are specific grace periods for necessary certifications depending on experience levels, ensuring that both experienced and novice candidates have the opportunity to succeed in their new roles.
