Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift | 36 hours per week About Us - ICU Step-Down Unit (TCU) The ICU Step-Down Unit is a 20-bed department consisting of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, nurse technicians, and ancillary staff. TCU serves Freeman and our community through caring for patients that are transitioning from ICU to Med-Surge level of care. We serve a vast range of patient populations, from cardiac complications, respiratory distress, diabetes management, and many more. What You'll Do In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care. Requirements • AHA ACLS within 120 days. • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days. • ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days. • CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date. • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence. • If no experience as an RN or LPN in a hospital setting or it has been more than 5 years since last worked in a hospital setting, nurses must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days. • NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days. • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 365 days. • RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date. • Stroke CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date. • Trauma CEU Hours - 8 per year annually by transcript due date. • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 365 days.
