Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our ICU Stepdown unit, working full-time nights at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives while enjoying a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide exemplary nursing care according to established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Utilize the nursing process for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Assess patients holistically, considering their physical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to support informed healthcare decisions.
• Educate patients and families about health maintenance and comfort measures.
• Mentorship through leading and collaborating with nursing colleagues and students.
• Stay alert and maintain a safe environment for all patients and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school or equivalent.
• No previous experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Physical Requirements:
• Strong communication skills, ability to stand and walk frequently.
• Capability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs regularly and assist with patient lifting when necessary.
• Frequent use of visual and auditory skills for patient assessment and care.
• Occasional needs for tasks that involve bending, stooping, and driving.

Licensure and Certifications:
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required in the state of practice.
