Roles & Responsibilities • Provide high-acuity nursing care for ICU, PCU and MST patients using critical thinking and compassion • Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry, including performing 12-lead EKGs at the bedside • Titrate drips safely (sedation, vasopressors, insulin) per unit protocols • Manage ventilator-supported patients in collaboration with respiratory therapy • Deliver primary nursing care when assigned, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans • Cover float and standby assignments as needed to maintain continuity of high-quality care • Participate in unit orientation and ongoing competency validation Qualifications • Current, active RN license in the state of Arizona (or ability to obtain prior to start) • BLS and ACLS certifications required • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (will consider 1 year ICU + 1 year PCU/Med-Surg from larger facilities) • Demonstrated ability to titrate drips and manage ventilated patients • Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia recognition; must pass dysrhythmia exam with an 80% (within two attempts) prior to contract signing • Charting experience in Cerner preferred • Willingness to float to other units (MST, PEDS, West Campus ICU/PCU) with short notice • Must meet facility radius and employment restrictions related to CommonSpirit facilities Education • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma; BSN not required Knowledge & Skills • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition • 12-lead EKG acquisition and interpretation basics • Drip titration and IV infusion management • Ventilator management and collaboration with respiratory therapy • Telemetry monitoring and bedside cardiac monitor use • Ability to provide primary care in acuity-adaptable units • Familiarity with remote monitor/monitor tech workflows • Charge/lead responsibilities and delegation when needed Benefits • Supportive team that truly values your critical-care skills and growth • Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy • Paid time off to recharge and manage life outside the unit • Licensure assistance and reimbursement so paperwork is one less headache • 401(k) retirement savings options to plan for your future • Life and disability coverage for peace of mind • Referral bonus program — bring a friend, build your dream team • Orientation and competency support to set you up for success Travel Perks: Explore Prescott Valley, AZ Explore Prescott Valley and nearby Prescott while you're on assignment: hike Thumb Butte or the Granite Dells, paddle or picnic at Watson Lake, stroll historic Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott for dining and local flavor, hit nearby trails and national forest areas for scenic views, and take weekend trips to Sedona or Flagstaff for stunning landscapes.
