Summary:
The Registered Nurse III is responsible for managing and coordinating referrals for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization in accordance with Delaware Code. Duties include reviewing and verifying clinical documentation and assessments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; submitting and tracking referrals to IMD/psychiatric facilities using Open Beds/DTRN; verifying insurance coverage through DMES and Navinet systems; sending admission notifications to PROMISE community providers and DOJ paralegal teams via secure email; accurately completing and maintaining all tracking forms, reports, and documentation of referral activity; following up on submitted referrals within one hour and documenting all communication; maintaining professional, timely, and organized communication across phone, email, and fax; prioritizing and managing multiple tasks while responding promptly to calls, emails, and messages; demonstrating strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader; and all other duties as assigned.
