
Registered Nurse - IMC MedSurgical A in Bent, NM
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the IMC MedSurgical A unit. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing both routine and complex care to our patients. Your ability to independently manage clinical situations while focusing on long-term goals will help shape the quality of care we deliver.
Responsibilities:
• Exhibit strong leadership through adherence to OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Utilize the nursing process effectively: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address patients' complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in line with your practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocol, while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and the care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying any issues and available resources.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification required.
• RN License is required in the state of employment or compact.
All newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire, alongside preceptorship under designated trained staff. Completion of all competency verification is required annually.
