Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing individualized nursing care to residents, utilizing the nursing process, which includes: • Assessment • Diagnosis • Outcomes/Planning • Implementation • Evaluation The RN collaborates with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team, including providers, to effectively plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will be responsible for: • Caring for residents through all phases of prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. • Coordinating care and conducting resident assessments. • Providing resident education and various nursing interventions. As part of the role, you may also serve as the charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate. Ensuring that resident care is delivered safely and reliably, while addressing any care and service concerns, is essential. It is mandatory to operate within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act and adhere to the standards established by the American Nurses Association. Qualifications We prefer candidates who are graduates of a nationally accredited nursing program, such as: • Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) • Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) • National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred. Applicants must hold an unencumbered RN license in the applicable state and maintain necessary department-specific competencies and certifications.
