Job Summary and Qualifications
The RN staff nurse in our NICU provides essential nursing care by adhering to established protocols and collaborating with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, delegate, and coordinate treatment and care.
What qualifications you will need:
• Education: Minimum College: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current NRP certification required within 6 months of hire date.
• Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required within 6 months of hire date.
• Experience: NICU or Nursery experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Ability to read and write Basic English for effective communication of physician orders.
• Knowledge of body substance isolation protocols.
• Strong competencies in listening and responding to the needs of patients, families, and team members.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
