What You Will Do:
• Serve as the expert on infection control practices and regulatory guidelines, ensuring high standards of care across the Avera system.
• Continuously update your knowledge of infection prevention through literature and professional associations.
• Evaluate and mitigate health safety risks, implementing effective infection prevention programs across multiple facilities.
• Utilize data-driven methodologies to enhance infection prevention strategies, leveraging advanced technology and resources.
• Support the strategic direction of Avera's Infection Prevention initiatives in collaboration with medical directors and quality teams.
• Regularly assess and monitor compliance with established infection prevention standards, advising leadership as needed.
• Conduct onsite visits to ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to enhance education and communication around infection prevention strategies.
• Coordinate monthly meetings for infection prevention specialists to encourage collaboration and share best practices.
• Balance program requirements with organizational needs to support effective service delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
• Ability to work designated hours with effective communication skills.
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification and active state license upon hire.
• 5 years of experience in infection prevention and control preferred.
