Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Conduct thorough assessments and document patient data per unit standards.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while adhering to established protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family learning needs throughout the care process.
• Evaluate patient progress towards outcomes and document results accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in managing emergency situations.
• Delegate tasks to team members based on their capabilities.
• Provide leadership and communicate effectively about patient care.
• Assist with various medical procedures and treatments as appropriate.
• Mentor new staff and students, serving as a professional role model.
• Maintain alignment with NHS mission and values in all caregiving activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold professional standards.
Qualifications:
• New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program; minimum ADN with the expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire.
