
Registered Nurse, Inpatient Orthopedic/General Surgery Unit - Now Hiring in Boston, MA
Job Description
• Providing competent care for pediatric surgical patients on a 22 bed inpatient unit, with patient ratios of 1:3-4. Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, trauma, ORL, and plastic surgery.
• Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that delivers expert care.
• Attending to the full range of human experiences and responses to health and illness without restriction to a problem-focus orientation.
• Providing a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
• Working 36 hours per week, rotating days/nights and every third weekend.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
BSN required
Experience:
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• A minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute RN experience; 2 years strongly preferred.
• Pediatric or surgical experience strongly preferred.
Licensure/ Certifications:
• Massachusetts RN Licensure
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
