Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, and according to hospital policies and procedures, the Register Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for the assigned patients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Associates degree from a NLN school of professional nursing.

Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree.

Experience as a Register Nurse in an acute care setting.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:

Required:

· Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must: • apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire • obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license

· BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross at time of hire.

Preferred: CRRN (Certified Rehab Registered Nurse) License

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to: Manger

Positions supervised: None
