Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse in the ICU is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the needs of patients with critical conditions. Working alongside medical providers and healthcare teams, the RN provides individualized care using established nursing practices. This role advocates for patients and contributes to an environment that supports excellent patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
• Conducts procedures and monitoring as per physician orders, ensuring thorough documentation in patient records.
• Educates patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and side effects.
• Guides patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up practices, including lifestyle changes for improved health.
• Implements evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement measures to enhance patient care.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to customize and deliver a holistic treatment plan that supports recovery.
Qualifications:
• Active NH Registered Nurse license or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 1-2 years of related nursing experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
