Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, your role will involve coordinating and delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with medical professionals to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while advocating for patients to enhance their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor patient conditions during admission and throughout your shifts, reporting changes promptly.
• Perform procedures and functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document the care provided to patients in their medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses accordingly.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment related to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
Qualifications:
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• You must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree.
