Key Responsibilities • Perform thorough patient assessments—including vital signs, physical evaluations, and medical history review—to guide individualized care plans. • Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately while maintaining strict aseptic technique. • Monitor and interpret patient conditions using advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors and ventilators, responding quickly to any status changes. • Partner closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other care team members to ensure seamless care coordination. • Perform and assist with essential procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, wound/ostomy care, and other intermediate‑level interventions. • Document all nursing care accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. • Provide clear patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. • Support hospital-wide infection control and patient‑safety initiatives. • Participate in quality improvement efforts and contribute to a culture of excellence. • Assist with discharge planning and coordination of post‑acute care services. Required Skills & Experience • Experience in acute-care settings such as Med‑Surg, IMCU/Stepdown, ICU, or Emergency Department; trauma experience is a plus. • Strong proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred). • Solid clinical skills, including IV insertion, airway management, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring. • Strong understanding of medical terminology, particularly in cardiology, infectious disease, and critical-care concepts. • Excellent critical‑thinking, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities in a high‑acuity environment. • Compassionate communication skills and the ability to support diverse patient populations. • Knowledge of quality and safety standards, including HIPAA and hospital compliance measures. • BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS highly preferred. • Associate's degree in nursing is required.
