Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in Interventional Radiology/Cardiology procedures including angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization. Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Advocate for patients while supervising assigned personnel and maintaining adherence to established standards, policies, and nursing processes. May be required to be on call as the need arises.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient condition throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Operate specialized medical equipment such as infusion and PCA pumps.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Uphold infection control and safety standards throughout all procedures.
• Supervise and direct assigned support staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of one year experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology.
• Preferred: Three years in interventional radiology or cath lab with conscious sedation and monitor role experience.
• Certifications such as RCIS or NIH Stroke Scale and IV certification are advantageous.
• Competency working with diverse patient populations; bilingual English-Spanish skills highly valued.
