Job Summary and Qualifications As an RN in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality care to all laboring patients from admission through the post-delivery period. Your expertise will include handling both vaginal and C-section births, proficient fetal monitoring, and supporting patients who receive various types of anesthesia. You will also provide exceptional care in the PACU period and assist with newborn care during the critical first two hours of life. Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. • If hired after June 1, 2012, a BSN is required within 24 months of hire. • Current Texas RN License or multi-state compact license. • Current American Heart Association BLS provider, with ACLS and NRP required within three months of hire. • Interns must complete NRP within three months of hire and ACLS within one year of hire. • Must complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within one year of hire or provide documentation of completion. • C-EFM certification is preferred.
