With over 1,100 families supported each year, our Labor and Delivery (L&D) Unit consists of 7 beds, including 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms, and our Postpartum Unit contains 12 private rooms equipped with a Level 1 B continuing care nursery. We are proud of our culturally sensitive approach and our impressive low C-section rates. Job Responsibilities: • Provide continuous assessment and care for mothers through the antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. • Deliver expert care for mothers and newborns, following established guidelines. • Educate patients from antenatal through immediate postpartum periods. • Initiate discharge planning and follow-up care for both mother and newborn. • Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the labor and delivery unit. • Maintain clinical practice in accordance with AWHONN, ACOG, NRP, and AAP guidelines. • Complete unit-based competency programs as required. Qualifications/Requirements/Licensure & Certifications: • BSN preferred • Current MA RN Licensure • AHA or ARC BLS required; ACLS and NRP required • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred • Current labor and delivery experience required We are committed to fostering a workplace free from discrimination and believe in equal employment opportunities.
