The Labor & Delivery unit at Mission Hospital boasts 16 beds and operates in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of deliveries. Nurses are integral to patient care, providing support in labor rooms, the operating room, and OB triage. Sign-On Bonus Available! Job Summary and Qualifications • Lead the delivery of professional nursing care to ensure patient comfort and well-being. • Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and outcome evaluation while providing, delegating, supervising, and documenting patient care. • Implement medically prescribed interventions effectively. Qualifications: • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or current enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with a commitment to complete the BSN within 5 years of hire. Exemptions may apply for RN's with 10 years or more of experience. • Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing. • Required Licensure/Certifications: Active registered nurse license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply. • Certifications: BLS Healthcare Provider certification required. • Preferred Licensure/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty. • Required Experience: Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
