Roles & Responsibilities • Provide safe, evidence-based labor and delivery care for patients 20 weeks and above • Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret tracings using Fetal Link • Assist in and/or circulate for C-sections with strict sterile technique • Manage high-risk obstetric patients including hypertensive disorders, multiples, diabetes, and substance-exposed pregnancies • Administer and titrate obstetric medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips according to protocol • Document accurately and thoroughly in Cerner EMR to ensure continuity of care • Collaborate closely with OB attendings, the in-house neonatologist, NICU and respiratory therapy teams • Step into charge nurse duties when assigned while maintaining patient assignments as needed Qualifications • Active RN license in California (must be eligible to practice in CA) • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required • Demonstrated C-section experience with circulating; scrubbing preferred • Experience with high-risk deliveries and familiarity with Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips • Experience charting in Cerner and using Fetal Link strongly preferred • Travel nursing experience preferred • Must comply with unit policy on sterile nails (no acrylic or overlay nails allowed) Education • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred but not required • Successful completion of unit orientation (3 shifts) prior to independent assignment Knowledge & Skills • Advanced fetal monitoring and fetal heart tracing interpretation • High-risk obstetric assessment and interventions • Sterile technique for operating room assistance during C-sections • Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Fetal Link systems • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization in high-volume settings • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams • Ability to float between L&D, Antepartum and Postpartum when needed Benefits • Supportive team environment that values your expertise and growth • Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep you ready to work • Travel reimbursement and help with local housing logistics • Flexible scheduling with every other weekend coverage • Paid orientation so you feel confident on day one • Opportunities to learn and advance in a high-volume, high-acuity perinatal center • Collaborative work with in-house OBs and neonatology for excellent clinical support • Health and wellness-minded workplace with on-site resources Travel Perks: Explore Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles offers iconic beaches like Santa Monica and Venice, scenic hikes at Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon, world-class museums such as the Getty Center and LACMA, and vibrant neighborhoods for food and nightlife in Downtown LA, Silver Lake, and Hollywood.
