Job Description
Job Description A reputable hospital in New York is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Labor & Delivery Unit. In this role, you will render quality nursing care to obstetrical patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. You will engage in caring relationships with patients and families, work collaboratively with other healthcare staff, and use sound judgment while performing nursing and medical interventions.
Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to laboring mothers and babies before, during, and after childbirth. Take vital signs and monitor fetal heart rates. Circulate and scrub during cesarean sections.
Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge. Document care provided and the patient's progress toward desired goals. Administer medications to patients as directed.
Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Active RN License. 1+ years of L&D experience is required.
Additional info: Full-time or part-time, permanent position Nights, 7p-7a $50-59/hr. base, depending on experience, + differentials Desirable benefits and perks.
