Position Highlights: Join our team at Avera McKennan Hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in laboratory services. In this vital role, you will perform venous and central lab specimen collections for oncology patients at the Avera Cancer Institute clinic. Enjoy a regular schedule from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekends and holidays off! Your Impact: • You will provide exceptional patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans, and coordinating with other healthcare providers. • Develop comprehensive nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, assessing patients, and documenting their conditions. • Educate patients and their families about healthcare requirements, medications, and self-care skills. • Monitor and evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and modifying care plans as needed. • Maintain a safe and healthy patient care environment following infection-control protocols and legal regulations. • Document patient care services effectively in records. • Ensure patient care equipment is well-maintained and supplies are stocked. • Stay updated with nursing competencies defined by leadership. Essential Qualifications: • Must be able to perform essential job functions, with reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is required upon hire. Preferred Qualifications: • Associate's Degree in Nursing. • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical environment.
