
Registered Nurse - LDRPN Specialist in Holloman AFB, NM
Job Description
Join our dedicated nursing team as a Registered Nurse - LDRPN Specialist, where you will provide both routine and complex care to patients. In this role, you'll work independently while effectively managing various clinical situations. Your ability to assess long-range goals and adapt to the needs of patients and their families will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Embody the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess patient and family learning needs, and provide appropriate education and resources.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
• Current BLS certification is required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact.
Position Requirements:
• All new, experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• New hires will be precepted by designated trained staff and must complete all required competency validations.
• Prior experience in a Perinatal Setting is preferred.
Certifications:
• Must obtain required certifications, including AWHONN Intermediate FHM or equivalent, STABLE, NRP, and ACLS within specified time frames based on experience level.
