MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is actively seeking a dedicated Long Term Acute Care Registered Nurse for an exciting travel assignment with one of our esteemed healthcare clients.
Required Qualifications:
• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting
• Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes, and ability to read Tele-strips
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility

Key Responsibilities:
As a valuable member of the LTAC unit, Long Term Acute Care RNs are entrusted with the care of patients requiring long-term medical attention. Your duties will include:
• Caring for 5-6 patients at a time
• Thriving in a fast-paced environment with numerous admissions and discharges
• Monitoring and administering medications through various methods (oral, subcutaneous, and IV)
• Educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and management of their health conditions
• Monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment while accurately recording and interpreting electronic displays
• Interpreting telemetry readings and promptly notifying the medical team of any irregularities
• Performing the comprehensive duties of a registered nurse
• Providing care for patients with respiratory issues including pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib
• Utilizing computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital signs
• Starting IVs, drawing blood, and managing patient care from start to finish
