Roles & Responsibilities • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult LTAC patients, focusing on recovery and safe transitions • Continuously monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to ensure rapid clinical response • Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and advanced respiratory support like HFNC • Perform central line, PICC and peripheral line care, and oversee blood product administration • Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol, and follow heparin and insulin protocols • Support renal care needs including pre/post hemodialysis management and continuous bladder irrigation when indicated • Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to keep the care team aligned • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — respiratory therapy, PT, pharmacy, social work and more — to optimize outcomes • Float between like units as needed to meet patient care demands and provide continuity • Provide reliable weekend coverage (every other weekend) and meet travel assignment expectations Qualifications • Active RN license for practice (pending licenses are not accepted) • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; MS/Telemetry experience strongly preferred • Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred • Previous telemetry, LTAC, or ventilator patient care experience preferred • Travel assignment experience is required; must meet facility 50-mile radius/local rules • Comfortable with Epic charting and 24 hours of orientation for assignment onboarding Knowledge & Skills • Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias • Epic electronic charting and accurate documentation • IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, PICC and central line management • Tracheostomy and ventilator care including ventilated patient management • Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and oxygen therapy • Blood product administration and phlebotomy skills • Care for renal patients including pre/post hemodialysis care and renal failure management • Wound care and wound vac management, feeding tube care • Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration protocols) • Isolation precautions, PPE use, and strong infection control practices Benefits • Generous travel perks and reimbursement to make your assignment comfortable • Medical, dental & vision coverage options to keep you and your family healthy • Licensure assistance and reimbursement so paperwork is one less thing to worry about • Paid time off to recharge between shifts and assignments • Professional development support and access to continuing education • A supportive interdisciplinary team that values your clinical judgment • Referral bonus program for bringing great clinicians onto the team • Comprehensive onboarding and a 24-hour orientation so you hit the floor confident Travel Perks: Explore Fayetteville, NC Fayetteville is a lively city with plenty to explore on your downtime.
