Registered Nurse - LTAC/MS-Telemetry Location: Fayetteville, NC Start Date: 02-23-2026 End Date: 05-25-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: 3x12-hour day shifts per week, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM (Day shift). Schedule includes every-other-weekend coverage and floating between like units; on-call coverage as required. Roles & Responsibilities • Monitor and manage telemetry for adult patients, interpreting dysrhythmias and responding to cardiac events • Provide comprehensive LTAC and MS/Tele nursing care including ventilator and tracheostomy management • Administer and manage IV therapy, arterial/central/PICC lines, and blood product administration safely • Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and titrate/monitor cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol • Support hemodialysis care needs and coordinate pre/post hemodialysis management with the team • Deliver wound care and wound vac management for patients with complex wounds and ostomies • Care for feeding tubes and manage nutrition support for long-term patients • Document thoroughly in Epic, ensuring accurate charts and effective care plans • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.) to optimize patient outcomes • Provide patient and family education, discharge planning and compassionate support during long-term stays Qualifications • Active RN license (pending licenses are not accepted) • Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience (telemetry/step-down or LTAC preferred) • Travel nursing experience required • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (preferred) and other required facility certifications • Strong experience with Epic charting (required) • Comfortable with floating between like units and providing weekend coverage every other weekend • Ability to manage a typical patient ratio of 1:5 on days • Comfortable with ventilator, trach, arterial line and central line care Knowledge & Skills • Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation • Ventilator and tracheostomy care, including HFNC management • Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation • IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC/central line and arterial line management • Hemodialysis awareness and pre/post dialysis coordination • Wound care and wound vac management • Familiarity with insulin/anticoagulation protocols and titratable drip management • Epic electronic charting proficiency and strong clinical documentation skills • Ability to work in LTAC/MS-Tele settings and provide long-term complex care Benefits • Flexible housing support and assistance to make your travel stay comfortable • Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy • 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future • Paid time off so you can recharge between assignments • Travel reimbursement and support with travel logistics • Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your credentials current • Generous orientation and ongoing training — we set you up for success with Epic • Referral bonus program for bringing great people onto the team • A supportive interdisciplinary team that values your contributions Travel Perks: Explore Fayetteville, NC Explore Fayetteville’s highlights in your downtime: visit the Airborne & Special Operations Museum to soak up local military history near Fort Liberty, stroll historic downtown Fayetteville with its shops and eateries, enjoy outdoor time along the Cape Fear River and nearby botanical gardens, or take short weekend trips to regional destinations like Raleigh or the coastal areas for beach days and city outings.
