Registered Nurse LTC in Seward, AK

Job Summary : The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care in a Long Term Care facility. Responsibilities include patient care medication administration and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires previous travel experience and a willingness to work either day or night shifts based on facility needs. Location : Seward Alaska United States Responsibilities : • Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Long Term Care setting. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. • Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record. • Assist patients with activities of daily living. • Float within scope to meet facility needs. Required Skills & Certifications : • Active AK Registered Nurse license in hand • BLS certification • Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care experience • Previous travel experience Preferred Skills & Certifications : • Willingness / ability to work any holidays Special Considerations : • Variable shifts (4x12 or 3x12) either days or nights based on facility needs. • Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving Christmas New Years). • Traveler can be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks. • Facility will arrange for a vehicle for traveler to use while on assignment.
