JOB SUMMARY As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in patient care, utilizing your clinical expertise to build meaningful relationships with patients. You will assess patient needs, create individualized care plans, implement effective interventions, and evaluate outcomes to deliver the highest quality care. Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN or MSN preferred. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience or completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program; preference given to candidates with two (2) or more years of experience in this clinical area. License and Certification: • Current unrestricted License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within hire time. • Must achieve and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within 90 days of hire. • Completion of a basic fetal monitoring class by the end of orientation and Electronic Fetal Monitoring National certification (NCC) within two (2) years of hire. • Capability to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications. • Registered Nurse Core Certification (RNC or RN-BC) is preferred.
