Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend, and holiday on-call involvement. Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $48.50, dependent upon experience. Position Highlights: • Varied Shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:00am-5:00pm with weekend/holiday/on-call involvement; 72 hours over 2 weeks. Required License: MN Nursing License within 90 days of hire. A Brief Overview The Registered Nurse delivers vital nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to ensure quality patient outcomes while providing emotional and spiritual support to patients and families. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing medical histories, communicating effectively with the healthcare team, and adapting plans of care based on patient needs. • Develop personalized nursing care plans by performing thorough assessments and establishing nursing diagnoses and interventions. • Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and self-care skills, ensuring they understand and can act on their health conditions. • Monitor and document patient progress, modifying care objectives as needed to meet therapeutic standards and improving health outcomes. • Maintain a safe patient environment by adhering to established protocols for infection control and medication management. • Document patient care accurately in departmental records to ensure compliance and continuity of care. • Ensure all patient care equipment is operational and well-maintained, coordinating repairs as needed. • Manage supplies effectively to ensure all necessary materials are readily available for patient care. • Stay current with nursing best practices and organizational standards to provide the highest quality of care. Qualifications: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required upon hire. Preferred Experience: • 1-3 years in a clinical environment.
