Location: San Francisco, CA

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, typically 3 shifts per week (specific days vary and may include weekends). Day shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM; Night shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM. Rotating day/night schedule.
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias to keep chemotherapy patients safe
• Administer and assist with chemotherapy-related care and symptom management with vigilance and compassion
• Start and maintain IVs, manage central/PICC/arterial lines, and safely administer blood products
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and support respiratory interventions like HFNC and BiPAP/CPAP
• Follow and champion infection prevention and falls prevention protocols to protect patients
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to ensure clear, coordinated care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RT, PT, Pharmacy, Social Work, Radiology) for holistic patient care
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support during treatment and recovery
Qualifications
• Current RN license (able to practice in California)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (must meet experience requirement within the 3 most recent years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass)
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience REQUIRED (charting/documentation proficiency)
• Proven telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills, including interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with IV starts, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC management, arterial line care
• Competence with blood product administration and assisting with chest tube procedures
• Familiarity with HFNC and ABG interpretation
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity; comfortable working a 1:4 patient ratio
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required; a positive, eager-to-learn attitude is a must
Knowledge & Skills
• Telemetry monitoring (B450 GE telemetry system) and cardiac emergency response
• Epic electronic charting and documentation workflows
• Infection prevention best practices and falls prevention strategies
• Alaris infusion pumps, bladder scanner operation, and Stryker bed familiarity
• Oncology patient care fundamentals and symptom management
• BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care basics
• Phlebotomy, IV therapy, and central line maintenance
• ABG interpretation and respiratory support modalities (HFNC)
