Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, you will manage personalized, outcome-driven nursing care utilizing the nursing process. Your role involves providing comprehensive care, treatment, and services through effective coordination and adherence to hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Medication Administration:
• Adheres to policies for administering and documenting medications.
• Completes medication reconciliation in line with protocols.
• Documents narcotic usage, including verification and disposal procedures.
• Plan of Care/Documentation:
• Develops and reviews individualized patient care plans, documenting outcomes and updates.
• Conducts timely admission assessments and identifies teaching needs.
• Continuously assesses and documents the patient comfort levels and responses to treatments.
• Ensures effective communication of patient care plans, updating daily on a shared board.
• Safety and Quality:
• Implements two-identifier checks before procedures and medications.
• Follows infection control and hygiene protocols as per CDC guidelines.
• Maintains a safe environment in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Professional Development:
• Engages in ongoing education, obtaining professional development hours annually.
• Practices within legal nursing standards and promotes positive colleague relationships.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in problem-solving and communication.
• Technology:
• Utilizes required software and resources for effective daily operations.
• Maintains knowledge of technology protocols during downtimes.
• Compliance:
• Adheres to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in Acute Care settings is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Active RN - Registered Nurse license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and other certifications like ACLS, PALS may be necessary depending on the department.
